At the last meeting of Campaign to End the New Jim Crow, we decided that due to the increasingly busy schedules of our members that we will take a break for the next two months to recharge and devote more energy to the many projects we are all involved in. This means there is no meeting tomorrow, Saturday March 1. Stay tuned for details as to when we will reconvene in April or May.
Leadership of the Campaign to End the New Jim Crow plans to hold a retreat in mid-April to review the past year and create clear goals and a plan to move forward. Committees, such as the events committee working on the mock trial of the Portland Police for the murder of Keaton Otis, will continue to meet as they see fit and send out e-mail alerts.
We hope to see you in a few months or at a committee meeting, recharged and refreshed!
In solidarity and struggle,
Campaign to End the New Jim Crow
